Proudly designed and 100% made in the USA. Precision CNC machined from solid 4140 steel bar stock. Media tumbled and fully deburred, heat treated through and hardened for strength, media blasted and black-oxide coated for a satin black surface that is corrosion resistant and non-reflective.
Patent Pending. Introducing the CFO™ (Combat Fiber-Optic™) Sights by LGA Systems, an effective handgun sighting solution that is durable enough for combat use and precise enough for competition.
Experienced competition shooters know that the most effective iron sight setup on a pistol for that perfect combination of accuracy and speed is a plain black rear with a fiber-optic dot in front. The benefits of this setup directly translate to the effectiveness of a combat and defensive handgun. This is why we've created our CFO™ Sights for the H&K USP.
Details matter. Our sights feature several design features that all work together to create the most effective and intuitive handgun sights available.
Perfect dimensions and proportions. Both front and rear sights are same height as factory sights. Front sight is 6.8mm tall for the USP Full Size (6.2mm for USP Compact). This means virtually no point-of-impact shift compared to stock for a consistent point-of-aim/point-of-impact.
Our front sight blade is an ideal .115" wide. Thick enough to stand up to the abuse of combat and competition, but thin enough to get a quick and precise sight picture.
The fiber-optic insert is a common .060" diameter rod with ends that are heated and "bulbed" to create a .080" dot that is bright and easy to track under recoil, but not so large that it obstructs your target area.
Our .125" wide rear sight notch is also designed with these proportions in mind. There is the same visual spacing between the front dot and bottom of the rear notch as there is between the front dot and the top edge of the front sight. This means you can place the bright fiber-optic dot right in the center of the rear notch and everything is aligned. No more guessing games for your eyes and brain to figure out how high or low to position the front dot before the sights are aligned.
Combat and self-defense ready. Our Patent Pending rear sight design is unique in that the outer edges of the rear sight are angled and beveled to prevent snagging and injury when drawing the pistol from a holster, while the inner section of the rear sight is simultaneously undercut to eliminate glare back to the shooter and to create a deep, black visual that allows the shooter to focus on the bright red or green dot up front.
The forward face of the rear sight is a straight wall to allow for one-handed manipulation of the pistol against a duty belt or other object to charge the pistol or to clear malfunctions.
The front sight has a radius at the nose to prevent snagging when re-holstering and to provide a nice, finished aesthetic.
Perfect front dot visual and efficient light transmission. The counterbored holes for the fiber-optic insert are ideally set for optimum light transmission and protection of the fiber-optic insert. The forward counterbore still allows the front "bulb" to gather light efficiently from the front even when there is no light source from above, like when shooting indoors near a window.
The rear counterbore allows the rear "bulb" to countersink into the front sight blade completely. This eliminates glare on the bulb and creates a sharp circular dot shape for your eyes to see.
The fiber optic insert is fully supported and cradled along the bottom, making it much more durable and resistant to breaking compared to other sights on the market.
Note: Although 6.8mm is the standard height USP front sight (6.2mm for USP Compact), it is NOT uncommon for H&K to ship pistols from the factory with different height front sights. If you have ANY concern about your bullet's point-of-impact changing, please measure the height of your factory sights with a set of digital calipers or have your gunsmith remove the factory front sight from your pistol to check what size you have before ordering. The factory height will be engraved underneath the stock sights. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us first.
*Minor filing may be required for optimal fit*
